Bacolod moves one notch higher for 2014 in the Tholons International Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations Report released last week, Bacolod Councilor Jocelle Batapa announced.
From being in the 94th spot last year, Bacolod now ranks as the 93rd city, joining six other Philippine cities, namely Manila (2nd), Cebu (8th), Davao (70th) Sta. Rosa (82nd), Iloilo (95th) and Baguio (99th).
BACOLOD CITY was declared as a “CENTER OF EXELLENCE” for IT-BPM Operations for the Next Wave Cities for 2012. This was publicly announced by the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO), together with the Information Technology Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), with the support of Jones Lang LaSalle and Dusit Thani Manila, today, May 20, 2013. The award truly shows the commitment and excellent effort of all stakeholders to make Bacolod City a preferred destination for Information Technology Business Process Management (IT-BPM) operations.
