Android Workshop In Bacolod
Bacolod launches its advocacy to spread Android skills as demand for Android developers rise globally.
Marco Valmores, founder of Philippines Android Developers Community will be in Bacolod this September as part of their groups advocacy to educate people in Manila and in the provinces regarding android development because there is a high demand for android developers. They have been focusing our efforts towards provinces since is are a need for skills development regarding android. They are actively reaching out to other organizations and the local government in order for us to bring the android sessions to the provinces.
The host, Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology is the umbrella organization of ICT stakeholders in the Province of Negros Occidental is committed to fully support the goals of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in generating jobs and opportunities in the countryside.
BNEFIT is a founding member of the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP), the national umbrella organization of all ICT councils from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The ICT Councils are basically composed of local stakeholders i.e. local governments, private and business sector, industry, academe and human resource sector, working together to promote their respective locations as investment destinations for ICT-related industries and jobs.
The advocacy will focus on campaign on all available opportunities and jobs requiring Android, capacity building for (i.e. ICT councils and stakeholders), introduction of Android applications, systems and programs, creation of a working synergy for all stakeholders in Android development, collaboration and networking between the private and public agencies to achieve target number of jobs and objectives, sharing of programs and best practices among the local stakeholders and identification of resources and support for Android development among stakeholders and partnerships with the private and public sector
